In 2016 trustees from the Holt Festival in north Norfolk attended our Central Production of Melvyn Bragg’s King Lear In New York. I was invited to become Holt Festival’s Artistic Director for their 10th anniversary 2018. Programming such an important landmark for them was a wonderful challenge. The program featured artists of international standing, national figures of interest, and the best of Norfolk talent. I had always admired Holt Festival so getting the chance to step in for one highly creative year, and handing over the reins to Lady Anwen Hurt was a joy. Her knowledge of the local area, as well as her performance background means the festival is in such safe hands. I am proud to have this credit on my CV of activities since my return home to Norfolk.
